I asked Siân to get to know all of the interview footage and b-roll (and there was a lot!) and then to develop 15-20 rough narrative arcs for each of the five characters I filmed over the course of a year. She immediately understood what the broad themes were for each character and captured those in her edits, along with a shape of a beginning-middle-end.
